18" x 24" (framed; frame not pictured)
spray paint, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, pastels, acrylic paint, eyeshadow, and acrylic ink on canvas
This painting was done in stages throughout 2018, with the final touches being added in early 2019. I named it Golden after I moved to Bristol, NH, for several months last year and into 2019; the painting reminded me of the gradual process of the New Hampshire leaves transforming from green to gold and brown and finally to a grey winter landscape. To me the painting has a celebratory, triumphant, yet melancholy quality that is reminiscent of the fall transformation in New England.
